So here we are: at the end of an amazing trip.
Awaiting (Brisbane Qantas Lounge) to board our plane to Singapore at 2:10.
Since the last post, we have been to Rockhampton, Emu Park, Great Keppel Island (simply amazing) and back on the Gold Coast in Coolangatta, still one of my favorite place.
It has been a nice time here and we are still looking forward to Singapore for the next 3 days.

Hi there everyone,
I know, it has been a long time since the last post.
Unfortunately, I had not much to post in terms of photos as my Nikon D700 has left me down...
After 3 returns to Nikon Swiss, it has been decided that the problem was no more a problem...
Rather a default in manufacturing... Indeed, Nikon Swiss did not manage to remove what looked like (in the first place) dust on the sensor...
So thank you Nikon Swiss for the decision to replace with a brand new D700!
Though I will not have a camera for the next 2 weeks... Rrrrrrrrrrr... :-P
Anyway, to keep a positive state of mind, I have decided to add the toolbar down the page...

+ Nikon D700 back with a clean sensor

Hi there everyone,

Good news my D700 is back with a clean sensor.

Thanks to Nikon Switzerland, free of charge and very fast.

Efficient also. I had read so many posts about issues with 4 to 12 weeks delay in processing.

I am pretty happy this has been dealt with in a swift way.

I will keep my 16-35 f/4 VR well in place.

So far I have been very impressed with this new lens.

Distortion is not so much of an issue, it is actually what I am after.

Enjoying a 3 day work week this week.

Hi there everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know I should get back to my D700 shortly.
Indeed, after initial fears of having the camera blocked for 4 to 6 weeks, I hear with great surprise (and happiness) that Nikon Swiss will deal with this within the week, at no charge...
This is great news as in France, you have to pay for this service (whether your camera is under warranty or not!!!) and the camera is blocked for 4 to 6 weeks...
This is really a good news as I am starting to miss it already.

Hope the WE is looking good for you all...
Not for me anyway... Dust has gathered on my D700's sensor... :-(
Tried to clean it myself but to no avail... Back to the shop... To no avail...
Therefore, there will be no more photos (for a limited time) as my D700 has been sent back (under warranty thank god...) to Nikon Swiss for what they call a "deep clean"...
In the meantime, I will process some shots I have not had time to so far...
They will be posted here.

Hi there everyone,
It took a little time but finally, it is there.
New photo gallery with D700 + 16-35mm f/4 VR.
These have been cropped and processed to a certain extent.
So far I am really happy with this new Nikkor lens.
Distortion is not so bad if you are careful while framing.
The range 16-35 is ideal for travel, walk around etc...
The "sacrifice" of f/4 is not one really as high ISO compensate.
All in all, a very good purchase.

I have been looking at the Nikon 14-24 and more recently 16-35...
DiLemna as one is f/2.8 and the other has a bigger range (35 instead of 24).
IQ of the 14-24 is amazing but no fliters thread.

Hi everyone,
Here are a couple of photos taken with my new Nikon D700.
These were taken with no flash, at 4000 ISO... Pretty incredible...
These guys were spitting fire at a local harbour fest, by the lake.
The Polaroids have been updated as well, here.

Hi there everyone.
AC/DC rocked, under the rain.
Finally I got to see these guys. Angus Young is 57 but still looks like the school boy.
The place was under torrential rain, which actually added to the show.
They played their last album, Black Ice, and their main tracks.
2 and a half hours of pure energy... Pictures (iPhone) soon online...

Hi there everyone...
Long time since the last post... Things of life...
Anyway, here is one hell of a news... Nikon D700!!!
No I have not sold my trustworthy Pentax K20D...
Just sold my 16-50 f/2.8 and Sigma 10-20 f/3.5
And got the D700 for "next to nothing"...
Will post some shots very soon...

Good evening everyone,
This is just another little bit of online development that is pretty amazing.
Dipity follows all the feeds you decide to assign to it to display...
On a timeline (including photos and/or videos), as a list or as a map which you can follow all the feeds in a movie type of animation!
It is worth a look.
I have fed in all my Twitter, Fuzzyshot and of course this blog as well as my Picasa albums.

Hope you are all well.
As you can se, the design has changed... A lot...
First and foremost, my Twitter feeds are down the page.
LINKS remain the same, so do the ARCHIVES.
We have added a SEARCH to find particular info on the blog.
Also, the 3 new buttons, up and down the page.
From now on, all feeds will have keywords, which you can find by clicking the BROWSE by topic button.
You can also load the home page again by using the FRONT PAGE button.
And you can subscribe to my RSS feeds also with the SUBSCRIBE button.

Hi everyone,
Xmas is getting there; so is the snow...
We have had some quite cold days here since last week.
In the meantime, links have been updated for the blog:
You can now see the feeds in Twitter, Vimeo, YouTube as well as FuzzyShot.
Whatever is fed into YouTube will appear in Twitter.
On the other hand, Vimeo is an alternative to YouTube.
FuzzyShot is a mobile app that I use when shooting with my iPhone.
